Took a bunch of new photos of my copper art over the last few days. These things are tough to get good photos of and no matter how good the photo is it is never as good as seeing it in person. Really happy with the new body of work I put together and am excited for the next round of creativity to come. I have many ideas brewing in my mind and sketch book, so lots of work ahead of me. Gaining lots of momentum and I am feeling really motivated to keep making new pieces. Started painting again as well which is very stimulating for me. I did a few mini paintings just to get my brushes going again and am now ready to get working on some bigger paintings as well as to finish a few that where started months ago. I will keep posting some of the new photos and of course they can be viewed in the gallery under the metal tab. Thanks for reading and feel free to leave feedback.
This painting is a continuation in the "No Idea" series that is ongoing and will be added to when ever an idea or lack there of pops up. This series started after visiting another artist friend who's work I have admired for some time now. I was at his studio visiting and on the drive home I felt really inspired and knew I needed to get my a$s in gear and paint more often, well I had "No Idea" what I wanted to paint that day when the light bulb idea came to mind as I was thinking about how my friend has painted some simple objects and managed to make them look really cool and interesting. As we are all probably quite familiar with the light bulb symbolizing an idea it seemed like a good subject matter with references readily available. So I went home and painted a light bulb and then over the next few days or weeks I painted a few more. This painting is the latest in the series and was inspired by a scene in a very old movie by Ingmar Bergman. Thank for reading and watch for more in the series coming soon.
